'There’s nothing false about Flamingo
Nosebleed. When they head bang they do it
right. They sweat. They spit. They rock. They
make a lot of noise and they do it well.’ – Whatzup
Flamingo Nosebleed’s sophomore album 'Headbanger’ raises the pop punk bar that they set with their self titled release. Eleven blisteringly fast tacks about partying, love, small town woes, brain surgery and headbanging. Songs like 'Reanimator,’ 'Brain Surgery’ and the title track 'Headbanger’ hearken back to mid 80’s Bay Area hardcore, while songs like 'Feelin’ Fine,’ 'Alcoholic Teenage Queen’ and 'Dance To The Stereo’ have a classic pop punk vibe running through it’s veins.
Flamingo Nosebleed is a 3 piece power trio made up of Jake Emissions (guitar and vocals), 'Philthy’ Phil Nieswender (bass) and Mike Singleton (drums). They have shared the stage with The Queers, Sloppy Seconds, Off With Their Heads, The Independents, Teenage Bottle Rocket, The Transgressions and more.
